JTI, IDLO in Improved Access to Justice Talks

KAMPALA: On Wednesday(September 12, 2019), the Judicial Training Institute (JTI) hosted officials from the International Development Law Organization (IDLO).

The officials held a meeting with the Executive Director of the JTI, Hon. Lady Justice Damalie Lwanga and explored the different areas of cooperation and support that they could provide.

The IDLO Country Manager, Mr. Felix Kyalo Kiteng'e, briefed the ED on the progress of the partnership and what they intend to achieve in Uganda under the auspices of the Justice Law and Order Sector.

The IDLO team whose major aim is improving access to justice, were impressed that the JTI already had the structures in place such as a Law Reporting Unit,Research and Documentation, as well as a good master plan that identifies training needs.

Notably present at the meeting was Mr. Samson Asiimwe, the Field Program Manager for IDLO, HW Isaac Muwata, Registrar, JTI, HW Bwambale, Head, Law Reporting, HW Naigaga Winfred Kyobiika, Head, Research and Documentation.
